Jamie. Oh Jamie where do I begin?
She was on top of everything and not in a nerve racking / stressful way! She knew what she was looking for and trusted me. The best part is that everything came together so well. I think my very favorite part is that she prioritized a first look, then portraits with Chris at the golden gate bridge. I have been so very lucky to have brides that recognize that even though a lot of time and investment can go into details, catering etc... photographs of them as newly weds are the ones that they'll get to hang in their bedroom, or over the mantle of their future home!
Summer is simply such a beautiful time of the year to get married. They both attended college in Utah so they decided to have their first look up the canyon and surrounded with wildflowers (blog coming soon).
I love finding out how my couples met! I've heard everything from we were high school sweethearts to we met online... It never ceases to amaze me that when two people are meant for each other, timing, circumstances etc... all come together. Jamie and Chris were introduced to each other by Chris' sister who happens to be Jamie's best friend! So yes they owe her big haha.
I love San Francisco. This was my 5th wedding in the bay area and I'm always so excited when I get to photograph wonderful people there.

This past year has been nothing short of surprises and many wonderful clients. It started with these two love birds! They got engagemed on thanksgiving day and started planning right away and did an amazing job! Even though they both grew up in Eugene, Oregon they didn't meet till college. I can't even begin to express how much I loved their families. It was super fun and relaxing day just filled with so much love and laughter! Exactly how weddings should be. So happy for them and their forever together.
Everything about this location is dreamy! What a wonderful shoot it was!

May is such a gorgeous month (although am I the only one that thinks time is going way too fast???) especially in utah.
A little look back at a shoot done a while ago but perfect inspiration for the upcoming cinco de Mayo.
It was such a refreshing treat to photograph bright colors mingled with soft blush magnolias while keeping the romantic and classy vibe going strong!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to have a shoot at the Saltair building! It's just a beautiful location with the option of a magnificient structure and the unique sandy are that's uncovered when the waters fo the great Salt Lake recede. I was so lucky to tag along the talented Brooke of Brooke Bakken photography. Brooklyn and Chase were such great sport (it was FREEZING)!

That shutter has been used used used and used! Ah! What wonderful opportunities I've had. Here's my attempt to sum up the year.
An incredible year of learning and meeting amazing people! You all made it possible. So thank you thank you thank you!
So with switching to film, I had to "hide", I mean update my portfolio so I don't have too many pictures of Hawaii posted. But I'm so happy to share these. They were shot on film (I still had NO clue as to what I was doing) along with a dear friend of mine Ashlee. It's funny as I didn't "love" them there. They were'nt "airy and pastel" but boy do I love them now!
Kate and Herb's wedding was a dream to photograph. It was so laid back and such a great time for family, friends and most of all the happy couple. So happy for them and grateful to have a been a little part of their first day of forever.
I can't wait to share the rest of these pictures.

I had three very specific goals for my photography when we moved to Utah.
#1 Fully transition to shooting film. My hand was a "little" forced, but that's another story.
#2 Reach out to local vendors. I was so excited to meet other local creative professionals.
#3 Get published. It didn't have to be something big. Just a way to "force" me to shoot with an editorial purpose.
It's not easy to get out of your comfort zone. To reach out to others and be rejected/or ignored. Ha! Honestly, I've definitely accepted that once again "The worst thing they can say is: NO".
For this I am so very grateful for the awesome vendors that have generously contributed to make this first shoot happen. Thank you!
We were all anticipating the release of the Great Gatsby ( I mean... who doesn't' like Leonardo ;)).
I'm also very grateful to Aisle Perfect and Love Photographs Beautifully for featuring these as well.
